When to call 911

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. Do not schedule Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for urgent situations.

Call 911 right away for situations such as:

  • Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing
  • Signs of a stroke, including facial drooping, arm weakness, or trouble speaking
  • Heavy bleeding or serious injuries, including suspected fractures
  • Loss of consciousness or seizures
  • Severe allergic reactions or any other condition requiring immediate medical attention

Economy AAMC, LLC is a licensed Non-Emergency Medical Transportation provider serving Illinois. Our services are designed for patients with non-urgent medical transportation needs. We do not provide ambulance, emergency medical, or paramedic services.

Yes. We are an approved Medicaid transportation provider. If you have Medicaid, give us a call and we'll walk you through how your rides are arranged.

Yes. We offer wheelchair-accessible transportation. Just let us know a wheelchair is needed when you book — on the form or by phone — and we'll send the right vehicle for a safe, comfortable ride.

The earlier the better — especially for recurring dialysis appointments, where we can set up a dependable standing schedule. For one-time trips, we recommend booking as far in advance as possible so we can guarantee availability. When in doubt, call us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

In most cases, yes — a family member or caregiver is welcome to accompany the rider. Please mention this when you book (on the form or by phone) so we can plan for the extra seat.

We currently operate two clean, well-maintained vehicles, including wheelchair-accessible transportation for riders who need it. Every vehicle is kept to a high standard for your comfort and safety, and we're steadily growing our fleet as demand increases.

Yes. We provide door-to-door assistance, helping riders safely from their door to the vehicle and from the vehicle into their appointment, treating every rider with patience and respect.

To book, we'll need your name, contact number, pickup city, appointment type, and your preferred date and time. Please do not send medical details or Medicaid/Medicare ID numbers through the website — for your privacy, we collect any required details securely by phone.
